What is the Signature Fit?
Signature tops, outerwear and dresses are designed with modern silhouettes that sit closer to the body than other L.L.Bean products. Crafted from fabrics that are selected for flawless drape and flow, each piece is carefully considered for a custom-feel fit that shapes and flatters your figure.
Since most Signature products will be more form-fitting than their L.L.Bean counterparts, we encourage you to use the size charts provided for each product to help find your perfect fit.
How our pants and skirts fit.
While Signature pants and skirts share fits with traditional L.L.Bean bottoms, you’ll find trimmer cuts, leaner leg shapes and, in most instances, a closer fit through the hips and thighs. Signature pants and skirts are offered in L.L.Bean's two most contemporary rises:
Favorite Fit is a medium rise that sits below the natural waist.
Modern Fit is a low rise that sits above the hips.

How to Measure
neck
Measure a shirt collar that fits you well. Lay the collar flat and measure from the center of the collar button to the far end of the opposite buttonhole.
CHEST
Measure from under armpits, across shoulder blades and around fullest point of chest.
WAIST
Measure around the natural waistline. For belts, order your waist size; if in between sizes, order the next larger size.
INSEAM
Measure similar pants that fit well. Lay them flat and measure along the inseam, from the crotch to the bottom of the leg hem.
SLEEVE LENGTH
With your arm relaxed at your side, slightly bent, measure from the center back of the neck, over the point of the shoulder, down the outside of the arm to the wrist.
