Introduced in 1944 as Bean’s Ice Carrier for hauling ice “from car to ice chest,” our tote has been loved ever since. There’s still nothing that compares to the original—still made in Maine, one tote at a time.

We start with sturdy 24 oz. American cotton canvas, then double stitch the seams for extra durability. You’ll know it’s an L.L.Bean original by the “v-point” on both sides where fabric and seams overlap.
